Since the age of 7, James has spent much of his time working towards developing himself into the most versatile drummer he can possibly become. Still pushing himself consistently, James has embraced the journey of the lifer musician. These characteristics in his development also carry across to his teaching, making lessons fun with a strong learning focus. James has been playing in front of live audiences since primary school and high school which gathered him years of priceless early performance experience and has made him a proficient drummer in any scenario. 

James is studying a Bachelor of Music (specifically Jazz and Improvisation) at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne. 

He specialises in jazz, latin and fusion but has vast experience in blues, funk, rock, pop, country, and various other styles. 

James is constantly striving to bring out the best in his students of all levels and caters to all goals. Whether you’re looking to undertake musical exams, VCE music, prepare for university, play in a band, or just rock out to your favourite tunes at home, James is your man!
