A passionate musician and composer, knowledgeable and skilled in many diverse genres including Contemporary music, Rock, Jazz, Latin Fusion and Country Daniel Brates has had an eclectic career in music over the past 17 years, both in Australia and overseas. His career has encompassed stage performance, studio recording and teaching in schools and privately.Studying in Germany and graduating from Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in Melbourne, he has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers such as Graham Morgan, Bastian Juette and played alongside esteemed musicians over the years.
Currently based in Melbourne, Daniel continues working and performing with musicians/bands in the local scene including:
