Damien began his guitar journey at the age of 12. He was brought up listening to a vast and diverse array of music which motivated him to learn more about the guitar, music composition and inspired him to a live path of dedication to playing and teaching music. Since then he has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Melbourne Polytechnic (NMIT) and commenced his Masters of Education in Music at the University of Melbourne in 2023.
Damien is an actively gigging guitarist and bassist around Melbourne playing in original and cover acts of all genres, rock, metal, jazz, folk, indie, latin, R&B and pop. He is very passionate about teaching his students and will cater to each students desired goals and unique skill sets.
Damien provides his students with not only proficiency on their selected instrument, but will also teach them essential musicianship skills such as Aural Training, Music Theory, Improvisation, Performance Skills and Compositional training.
Damien has successfully guided students through the AMEB and ANZCA examination syllabus and can do so at the academy upon request.
