Anne Rose – Flute Teacher
Anne Rose is a Melbourne based flutist with many years of experience as a teacher and free-lance performer, tutor and adjudicator. Anne plays an Altus 1707 and Burkart Elite Deluxe piccolo.
Anne completed her undergraduate studies (B.Mus.Ed) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Peter Edge as well as Eileen Gilligan, Margaret Crawford and Alan Hardy. She has also performed in masterclasses with internationally renowned flutists including William Bennett and Trevor Wye.
Teaching in some of Melbourne’s most highly regarded secondary colleges, Anne has built a reputation as a passionate and dedicated flute teacher, with her students consistently achieving great success in Victorian Certificate of Education recitals, AMEB grade examinations and Performance Diplomas. Anne’s teaching experience also includes working in the classroom at all secondary year levels and she specialises in preparing students in all aspects of VCE Music Performance; performance practise, aural training and musicianship.
Anne’s private studio is currently located at the Blackburn Academy in Blackburn. Here, she hosts a wealth of talented young flutists, from beginners to advanced players. Many of Anne’s students have received music scholarships and gained tertiary music places.
